The tone generator is constructed the same as the original, and is known for its pressure and the very unique sound.
When VCO are as square and sawtooth waveforms available and the frequency can be set with the Tune control. The filter cutoff frequency and resonance can be adjusted. The cutoff can be modulated by the decay envelope, where you can control the decay time and the modulation depth. The Accent knob affects the strength of the accent.
The sequencer allows the classic 303-sequencing with selectable Slide and Accent per set note, but waiting with much better service and six different working on. The sequences can be stored in benches 12 each 8 pattern. In Pattern Play mode, you can chain together neighboring patterns from a bank. Using copy and paste, you can easily copy patterns and to other banks.
Other features allow live editing of accents and slides the sequencer is running, different patterns lengths, two types of shuffle with 4 settings, different clock divider in 4/4-time etc. With the scrolling function can be the starting point of a pattern shift, very practically perfect in itself when the bass line does not fit the rhythm – move instead of simply re-program!
In Trackmodi allows all patterns from a bank, even in its transposed form, concatenate to songs.
The Bass Line 3 can either synchronize to MIDI Clock or to DIN Sync. A third switch position allows you to use the instrument as a DIN Sync master. They can also be played via MIDI notes, and also accent is read (from a velocity of 100) and also slide when two notes simultaneously.
Via the audio input can be passed through the filter 303 and external audio signals. the cutoff frequency can be modulated via the FM Eingng with a control voltage. CV and gate outputs give the sequences of the control voltages. The Accent-output produces a gate with 12V.
